Fight Food Insecurity with Carlyle Place: Join Our Seasons of Giving Food Drive

As the season of giving is here, Carlyle Place is proud to announce our annual Seasons of Giving Food Drive, running from November 1st through December 15th. In partnership with Move For Hunger, we are calling on our residents to join us in our commitment to giving back and combating food insecurity in the DC Metro Region.

The holiday season can be particularly challenging for many families. This year, local food banks are facing increased demand, making our contributions more important than ever. During September's Hunger Action Month drive, the Paradigm Property community has shown incredible heart, donating 1,250 pounds of food to local food banks. This holiday season, let's continue that tradition and make a significant difference for our neighbors.

How to Give:

Participating in the food drive is simple. You can pick up a donation bag from the Concierge or use one of your own. Fill the bag with unopened, non-perishable food items and bring it back to the Concierge desk by December 15th. All donations will go directly to local food banks.

Donation Guidelines:

To ensure your donations are handled properly, please follow these simple guidelines:

  • Pack Safely: Avoid donating items in glass containers, as they can break easily.
  • Easy Access: Prioritize cans with pull-tab tops, which are easier for recipients to open.
  • Check the Date: Only donate non-expired items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
High-Impact Items to Donate:

Consider donating items that food banks consistently need:

  • Shelf-stable proteins like canned tuna, chicken, or beans
  • Nut butters (peanut, almond)
  • Whole grains such as rice, pasta, and oatmeal
  • Canned vegetables and fruit (in juice or water, not heavy syrup)
  • Soups and low-sodium meals
  • Healthy, non-sugary cereals
Your generosity helps provide hope and nourishment to those in need. By coming together as a community, we can make this holiday season brighter for everyone. Thank you for supporting the Carlyle Place food drive.
